The vast majority of crossdressers are ordinary, heterosexual men with an additional feminine dimension. These men enjoy wearing clothes for women because they enjoy this for themselves. The interest may end with wearing panties at home, in private or may go to being dress fully in women’s clothing out in public. Generally a crossdresser is not a homosexual. He can get around some of the jagged edges of his upbringing, and can enjoy finding his feminine side. He just likes the feel of something nice just for him and his own pleasure. The result is a happier, healthier whole person.
Early on, many crossdressers find the activity sexually stimulating. However crossdressing is more a matter of personality than sexuality. For many the need to crossdress becomes a part of the self, just as musicians must play music to feel complete. A life without it would be very unfulfilling to the man.
Crossdressers can be anyone, however it is interesting that most crossdressers are well-educated and come from conventional families with traditional backgrounds. Most crossdressers are heterosexual and most are, or have been, married. Most are happy in their masculinity, and only a small percentage chooses to live as women full time.
