Hi there!! Hope this finds you all well and ready for fall. I am happy to be here posting my fashion tips. For more of me, check out my blog, aptly named, Mistress Of More!
Fall is my favorite season. From the weather, sports, food and of course the clothes, to me, fall is the best season. Now, I am not the biggest fashionista, but I do get a couple new items each season. I think it is important to have a good core wardrobe. So to all my fabulous feminine friends, here is my list of must-haves for the fall.
Boots – Nothing says fall like a pair of boots. You can go knee high, calf, booties, stiletto, stacked heel, wedge or flat, whatever you like ~ but boots are a fall must! What I love about boots, they are so versatile. You can wear them with skirts, jeans, dresses ~ all of them!
Speaking of jeans ~ jeans are a fall must-have! Dress them up with a classic button down, get cozy in a sweater, layer with a jacket, whatever the situation – jeans are the perfect bottom. My fav jeans ~ I am a skinny jeans gal. I can wear them with flats or tuck them in boots. With all the cuts, lengths, styles, there is a pair of jeans (or two or three) for everyone.
Sweaters ~ here in my part of the country it is sweater weather. Even if you are in a climate that it never gets chilly, you still get a nice thin cotton sweater.
Sheath dress – Oh for you girlie girls that like to get a little dolled up I have just the thing ~ a sheath dress. What I love about this dress most of all is it can be dressed up with a variety of boots, a pair of classic heels or just a pair of flats. Another great thing about the sheath dress ~ layers. You can add a cardigan sweater, a buttoned jacket or a shawl ~ any of them as heavy or as light as you need.
With fall being all about layers, I’d never forget about your first layer ~ bras and panties. If you can’t get your fall wardrobe at least treat yourself to something sexy. The new colors out this fall are deep and jewel toned. I love the navys and metallics. Have every color in the rainbow? Try a different fabric. I would suggest a velvet with satin trim.
I do hope that my little shopping list gets you started for fall. What is great is everything on the list can be added to with the changing of the seasons and even built on yearly. If you really want to do something different I would be tempted to suggest a costume ~ but that is a conversation for another time.
